Directions to School

Take I-65 North to Exit 13. Turn left on State Highway 158 (Industrial Parkway). Turn right on Highway 45. Go approximately 25 miles. School located at 16250 Highway 45, Citronelle, AL 36522.

McDavid-Jones Elementary

McDavid-Jones Elementary is located northwest corner of Mobile County. The school serves over 850 students in an approximately 189 square miles.   The school is a Title I school, an Alabama Reading Initiative site, and AMSTI (Alabama Math Science Technology Initiative).

Mission Statement

The Mission of McDavid-Jones is to produce lifelong learners who demonstrate the desire for education success.  This will be modeled by a child-centered staff in a safe, caring environment.

Transportation Changes

This is a reminder that all transportation changes must be in writing containing the address and phone number of where the student is going. All changes must be approved thought the office. Students will not be allowed a transportation change without a written and approved note. All changes must be received in the office no later than 9:00 a.m. No early dismissals after 2:00.  Please keep this in mind when scheduling doctor appointments.  No transporation changes will be accepted over the phone.  Remember only people listed on Students Enrollment Cards may get your children out of school and Photo I.D. is required.  Please make sure these names are up to date.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

All conferences must be prearranged with the teacher. Everyone is asked to sign in with the front office when on campus. This is for the safety of all students.

Emergency Contact Numbers

Parents, it is necessary for us to have at least three phone numbers to contact in a case of an emergency.  Please do not list numbers that are out of services, disconnected, or that do not accept incoming calls.  Failure to make contact with a parent in case of an emergency will be reported to Mobile County Public Schools social work department.

Field Trips

Field trips must be paid for at least two weeks in advance (before trip).  There will be no exceptions to this rule! Money will not be accepted after the due date.
