Special Education, Third Grade


Lee earned a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of South Alabama. During the 2004-2005 school year Lee was awarded National Board Certification in Elementary Literacy-Reading and Language Arts. She loves to read current research on the brain and learning, especially as it relates to learning to read.


Lee began her career teaching children with Emotional Conflicts at Whitley Elementary in Prichard, Alabama. After one year there, she taught children with Learning Disabilities at Calcedeaver Elementary in Mt. Vernon, Alabama for seven years. She currently teaches 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students with Special Needs at McDavid-Jones Elementary. 2014-2015 is her 20th year teaching!


Mrs. Tettleton currently lives in Saraland, Alabama with her wonderful husband of 25 years Tony. She has 4 grown children and the most beautiful grandchildren in the world! She loves to read and go to Christian music concerts.
